Dutch Gothic/metal band Asrai was formed in 1988. They quickly built up a reputation through their many performances and radio sessions. From 1989 to 1994 Asrai released several demo-tapes like 'The Blue Tape' and 'Love Is A Lie'.
In 1997 they released their melancholic and dark edged debut album 'As Voices Speak'. In the years that followed Asrai took time to perfect their sound and find the right line-up. The result could be heard on the album 'Touch In The Dark' in 2004, on which Asrai bring hot-blooded music with a passionate sound that lies between metal and gothic rock.
In 2007 Asrai released their third album 'Pearls in Dirt'.
