Big D and the Kids Table is a ska/punk band formed in 1995 in Allston Village, Boston.
They started their own label in 1997; Fork in Hand Records, to put out their first album 'Shot By Lammi'. In 1999, they won the Boston Music Awards distinction of 'Outstanding Ska Band'.
They have toured as support of such bands as Dropkick Murphys, Anti-Flag, Catch 22 and Alexisonfire. In 2000 they released their first album at Asian Mania Records called 'Good Luck'. This was the first record to be released from another label than their own. In 2007 they issued 'Strictly Rude' on Side One Dummy Records.
The band got their name from a suggestion given by a friend, because whenever that friend had dinner at Dave's (singer) house he would sit at the kid's table.
