McGerr taught Chloe to drum and helped Asya with her song writing. The girls turned out to be very talented and released their debut album ‘She Like Electric’ in 2004, which was followed by 2006’s ‘Free to Stay’.

Smoosh have already supported bands like Pearl Jam, Jimmy Eat World and Eels. This time, they open for Peter Moren.

About Kasba
The Dutch/Moroccan formation Kasba play a mix of gnawa, reggada, raï, reggae, rock and funk. The name Kasba originates form the words Gasba; the traditional Moroccan flute and Kasbah; a meeting point for the inhabitants of villages in the Maghreb areas.

Because of the diverse musical backgrounds of the band members, Kasba created it’s own unique style. Traditional instruments and a lot of percussion easily go together with modern guitars, drums and keys.

Pounding drums, blazing guitars and breathtaking vocals. Both clean and pure as well as distorted and perverted. All thrown together this combination screams out one thing… metal! Sins7sinS is the name of this new combination, a band that fills the gap between gothic and metal. A female fronted band that wishes to stand out by being louder and more focused on the overwhelming sensation of power which metal can bring, than other bands.

Sin7sinS was founded early 2006 and saw light under the banner of a project. A project that soon grew to maturity and released a demo called “$uicide for $ale” at the end of 2006. After this the project became a full band by finding the members it missed and the band slightly adjusted their musical path to what it is today.

Now with a 50min set of own material the band is ready to take it’s next step. Which is bringing the ‘Sin’ live to the stage and recording a full album in the near future.

November that same year they were signed to Witchita Recordings (Bloc Party a.o.). By the end of February this year, their debut album ‘Hold On Now, Youngster…’ is expected.

Peter Moren bio:
We all know Peter Morén from the Swedish trio Peter Bjorn and John. Their album ‘Writers Block’ sold many copies and the song ‘Young Folks’ was a big hit in 2006. But now it’s time for Peter to go solo.
Peter began premiering his own material at intimate New York venues in 2007, focusing on music that was considerably more folksy than his work with Peter Bjorn and John.
Peter Morén recorded and mixed his work in tiny apartments and rehearsal studios in Sweden and the U.S. The result was his lo-fi debut album ‘The Last Tycoon’, which was released in 2008.

Jose James’ Bio:
By combining urban blues, hip-hop, soul and drum’n bass, American jazz/soul singer José James manages to create a fresh and renewing sound which is rooted in the tradition of jazz. Soul singer Marvin Gaye and saxophonist John Coltrane were of great influence to José James.

The Minneapolis based José James is one of the great jazz promises of 2008. His, already praised, debut album ‘The Dreamer’ will be released January 28th on Gilles Peterson’s label Brownswood.

C.S.S. bio:
C.S.S. was one of the revelations of 2006. This arty sextet met in the clubs of Sao Paolo and on Brazilian photologs. Without one of them having any experience in playing an instrument, they decided to start a band in 2003. The result is unique, sunny and irresistible electro/guitarpop.

C.S.S. is short for Cansei de Ser Sexy, which is Portuguese for ‘Tired of Being Sexy’, which also is the title of their 2006 debut album. These 5 sexy ladies and one man rock venues all over the world with their crazy and vigorous live show.
