For three years Danko Jones, named after it's frontman, refused to take a step inside a studio. Anyone who wanted to hear 'The Mango Kid' had no other option than to go and see him live. Until in 1999 the band couldn't ignore the fans' demand any longer and released the records 'Danko Jones' and 'My Love Is Bold'.
After their European breakthrough with the compilation 'I'm Alive And On Fire' in 2001 the overwhelming Canadian rock'n roll trio realised, if they wanted to tour for months and months, they were obligated to release a track once in a while. This lead to the albums 'Born A Lion' (2002) 'We Sweat Blood' (2003), 'Sleep Is The Enemy' (2006) and 'Never Too Loud' (2008).
