DIGITALISM

Jens Moelle and Ismail Tuefekci are the German electro duo Digitalism. The two friends met each other at a local record store in Hamburg. Eventually the owner of the store asked them to DJ at a party, ever since they started mixing and recording their own songs.

Signed to the French recordlabel Kitsuné records, Digitalism created their own sound with influences of the French electro sound of the late nineties. Acts like Daft Punk and Cassius are great examples for Digitalism.

In 2004 the first Digitalism singles were released of which club hits 'Idealistic', 'Zdarlight' and 'Jupiter Room' featured on their debut album 'Idealism' (2007). The electro duo also have built a good reputation with their remixes. They produced remixes for a.o. Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, The Futureheads, Klaxons and Tiga. Their recordings studio appears to be at Second World War bunker.
