Inspired by Dusty Springfield and Petula Clark, Amy Ann Duffy brings you straight back to the soulful pop music of the 60's. The singer from Wales is known for her amazing melodic voice, which is often compared to that of Amy Winehouse.

Duffy was born in 1984 in a small village called Nefyn in Wales. When she was a teenager she played in many local bands. In 2003 she participated in Wawffactor, an alternative version of Pop Idol and finished second. Duffy appeared on Later with Jools Holland in 2007. That same year Polydor signed the talented singer and shortly after her breakthrough was a fact.

In March 2008 Duffy released her debut album 'Rockferry' which immediately topped the UK and many other European charts. 'Mercy', one of the singles taken from this album, was good for many number 1 listings and a MOJO Award for 'Song of the Year' in 2008.
