BIOGRAPHY
Elf Power is an indie rock band from Athens, Georgia. They play psychedelic-pop with infectious refrains and oddly baroque arrangements. They debuted in 1995 with the self-released 'Vainly Clutching at Phantom Limbs', followed a year later by the 'Winter Hawk' EP. The band is influenced by The Flaming Lips and is often compared with artists like Half-Handed Cloud, Golden Shoulders and Circulatory System.
Elf Power collaborated with Dave Fridmann, best known for his work with the Flaming Lips, to record the album 'Dream in Sound' in 1999.After signing to Rykodisc, Elf Power issued their eighth album, Back to the Web, in 2006.
