BIOGRAFÍA

Lefties Soul Connection son una banda procedente de Amsterdam que han dado un nuevo significado a la fusión del funk y el soul. Su música está influenciada por bandas funk como The Meters o JB's, pero también por el hiphop de Jurassic 5, The Roots y Beastie Boys. Por lo tanto esa fusión de funk y soul nos la presentan bajo una estructura y sonidos del hiphop.

Lefties Soul Connection son Alviz (órgano), Onno (guitarra), Bram (bajo) y Vogel (batería), La banda se formó en 2001 y actualmente es una de las bandas más relevantes de la escena funk holandesa.

En 2005, Lefties Soul Connection, realizó una versión del mítico tema 'Organ Donor', de Dj Shadow. Junto a otros temas, la banda lanzó su primer álbum en 2006, bajo el título de 'Hutspot'. Su segundo álbum, 'Skimming the Skum', se publicó el año siguiente, en 2007.
