BIOGRAPHY

American singer and songwriter Frank Black (Charles Thompson IV, 1965) got known as frontman Black Francis of the Pixies. After the Pixies had split up in 1993, he went on solo as Frank Black and released his self-titled debut that same year.
The compilation '93-03', on which he reflects on the first 10 years of his solo career, was released in 2007. In this period he took distance from the surf/punk sound of the Pixies and his music evolved to country/rock.
