Handsome Furs came into existence in the winter of 2006. This Canadian indie-duo consists of husband and wife Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry. With the help of little more than vocals, guitar and drum-computer, they create a minimal and melancholic sound.
Dan Boeckner is also known as one of the core members of the band Wolf Parade. With Handsome Furs he sticks to the same dark and sinister genre as before.
Handsome Furs released their debut 'Plague Park' on the Subpop label in 2007.
