BIOGRAPHY

Nicky Guiland and Casey Benjamin a.k.a. HEAVY are a dynamic duo that plays a mix of soul, pop, hip-hop and rock music. They originate from Jamaica and Queens NY.
The two have a wide range of influences, like Herbie Hancock, N*E*R*D and No Doubt. The idea of HEAVY was born in May 2001 at Nicky's senior recital where the two played together. They received standing ovations which made them realise they were on the right path.
The name HEAVY comes from the comments they received about their music. Their first album 'Jazz Money$$' was released begin 2007 on the label BBE.
