HERE FOR THE WORLDTime Out Magazine- "if critical plaudits were album sales I Am Kloot would be pulled along in carriages made of gold records that would make the Queen literally sh*t with envy."
Formed in 1999 in Manchester, England I Am Kloot are said to be one of the most under-rated bands in the UK. Singer Johnny Bramwell is known for his raw, dark but melodic songwriting skills and has fans within the industry such as Pete Doherty (BabyShambles) and Guy Garvey (Elbow). Peter Jobson (Bass) and Andy Hargreaves (Drums) make up the rest of the band that fuse indie rock, with an eerie atmospheric pop sound.
Their first album 'Natural History' (2001) was released to much critical acclaim and although it didn't have much commercial success the band started to build a loyal fanbase. The band had signed to Echo Records and released a further two albums with the label, self titled 'I Am Kloot' in 2003 and 'Gods and Monsters' in 2005.
The following years the band released another album, toured the UK (culminating in a headline gig at the London Astoria) along with recording sessions with Radio One legend John Peel. Although they didn't have much luck with the music industry I Am Kloot's infectious melodies and heart felt lyrics continue to be enjoyed by loyal fans across the world.
