Ever since Isis was founded in 1997 by core members are Jeff Caxide (bass), Aaron Turner (guitar/vocals) and Aaron Harris (drums) has the habbit of changing their formation. The atmospheric and experimental music of Isis finds its roots in heavy metal and punk/hardcore.
After two EPs the band released its full-length debut Celestial in 2001. 2002s follow-up Oceanic was chosen record of the year by UK metal magazines Terrorizer and Rocksound. Isis previously toured with bands like Dillinger Escape Plan and Mogwai, this time they teamed up with Aereogramme.
