BIOGRAPHY
In 1994 just outside Oslo in a small town called Tonsberg electro-jazz band Jaga Jazzist was formed. Lars Horntveth, one of the main writers of the band, was only 14 years old when their debut album ‘Jævla Jazzist Grete Stitz’ (1994) was released.
It was however on ‘A Livingroom Hush’ (2001) that the ten piece band discovered their own unique sound. The album got them a international recorddeal at Ninja Tune. ‘What We Must’ (2005) is the band’s fifth album, on which they give us a Jaga Jazzist interpretation of a rock record.
