I'm tired of Martha being promoted as "Rufus' sister", or "Louden's daughter". She's a brilliant artist, and doesn't need to ride on anyone's coattails to get where she wants to go.

Rufus is her brother, but another great artist, Loudon Wainwright III is her father. He's also a great artist, at least in my opinion. Martha doesn't like her father very much, BMFA is about him...

i luv martha, wish there was a choice of kbps though as this quality is too high for my 500kbps limit, so a lot of buffering at this quality which must be over 1000kbps by the way it buffers, martha looks sublime an' sounds magnificent! thanx fabchannel!

An amazingly passionate performer. I saw a couple of days earlier in Birmingham, Glad she had her hair done since she appeared on Later! Her Mother and Aunt (Kate & Anna McGarrige) and her brother Rufus are wonderful too.

Martha Wainwright (1976) is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter. As the 'daughter of' Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and as the 'sister of' Rufus Wainwright, she was destined to become one hell of a musician. Just like her family, Martha focuses on folk pop music, but with a fresh and original twist to it.
Several times Martha featured in songs of her family. In 2006 she participated in Snow Patrol's 'Set The Fire To The Third Bar' from their album 'Eyes Open'.
Martha Wainwright released her self-titled debut album in 2005, followed by 2008's 'I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too'.
