New Yorkers Ben Goldwasser and Andrew Van Wyngarden together form the electronic indie rock duo MGMT. The guys met each other at the University of Middletown, CT, where they were both studying arts. In 2002 they formed The Management, now better known as MGMT.
Ben and Andrew combine experimental indie rock with dance and electronica. They prefer to call their style 'future seventies'.
MGMT's debut album is called 'Oracular Spectacular' and was released in January 2008. The critics were very positive about it, and the song 'Time to Pretend' reached the number one position in the NME TV charts.
