British doom metal pioneers My Dying Bride started out in 1990 as a quartet. They debuted with the legendary demo 'Towards the Sinister'. During the 90's My Dying Bride were referred to as one of the 'Great Three' of the death/doom scene, along with Paradise Lost and Anathema.
Besides guitar and drums, My Dying Bride make use of piano and synthesizer. Their music is characterised by romantic, sensual lyrics and obsessive attention to atmospheric details.
Nowadays My Dying Bride counts six members. In 2006 they released their ninth full-length album called 'A Line of Deathless Kings'.
