Nate James is a British soul singer and songwriter. Some say that he is the funkiest British soul singer since J.K. of Jamiroquai. He is an example of a new breed of artists who are keeping control of their own careers, instead of giving it all away by signing to a major label.
He released his debut album 'Set The Tone' on his own label named Frofunk. The feel-good songs on 'Set The Tone' stand out because of a mix of pop, funk and rock influences. The album earned Nate two MOBO nominations in 2005, for Best Newcomer and Best R&B Artist.
