I recently saw this group in Charleston, SC at the Spoleto Festival. They were absolutely unreal!. They are some of the most talented and amazing performance artists that I have ever seen, and I have seen a LOT in my years with Universal Pictures. Nothing but huge love for these artists. Please keep up the great passion.

BIOGRAFIE

Carolina Chocolate Drops is een traditionele Afrikaans-Amerikaanse string band uit Durham, North Carolina. De band bestaat uit multi-instrumentalisten Dom Flemons (banjo, gitaar, harmonica, kazoo en ritme instrumenten), Rhiannon Giddens (banjo en viool) en Justin Robinson (viool en banjo).
Het drietal combineert jaren '20 blues, folk en gospel in een vrolijke mix in de sfeer van de soundtrack van de film 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'.
In de V.S. speelden Carolina Chocolate Drops al in zalen als Carnegie Hall en het Jefferson Center. Nu komen ze voor het eerst naar Europa.
Na het debuut 'Dona Got a Ramblin Mind' uit 2007 volgde 'Heritage' in 2008, het tweede album van Carolina Chocolate Drops.
