BIOGRAPHY

Okkervil River is an indie rock band from Austin, Texas. The band's name comes from a short story by Russian author Tatyana Tolstaya and the river in Saint Petersburg. Okkervil River combines fragile ballads with heavy rock.
Founding members Will Robinson Sheff (vocals, guitar) and Seth Warren (electronics) started Okkervil River in 2000. Besides their fifth studio album 'The Stage Names' in 2007, they also released a free download on their site of the cover album 'Golden Opportunities'.
