Singer-songwriter Scott Matthew was born and raised in Queensland, Australia. There he went to college and played in different bands. However, he quit his studies to move to Sydney and later on to New York.
Scott Matthew writes beautiful and melancholic folk pop songs. He accompanies his singing by guitar and ukulele and uses classical string arrangements in his music.
After several releases with other bands and projects (a.o. a project with Spencer Cobrin, the former drummer of Morrissey), Scott Matthew released his self-titled solo debut in 2008.
