Shawn Colvin (1956) from Austin/Texas is well-known in the international folk circuit. She settled in the New York singer/songwriter scene in 1983. There she met multi-instrumentalist John Leventhal.
Together they recorded Shawn's debut 'Steady On', which was awarded with a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Recording in 1989. Six albums later she still works with Leventhal. They recorded Shawn's 2006's fresh pop/folk record, 'These Four Walls'.
