Ever since the Norwegian singer Silje Nergaard (1966) made her debut in 1990 the European jazz scene has become unthinkable without her. With her unique voice, faint and high but still full of melancholy and feeling, she mesmerizes many jazz and pop fans all over the world.
Especially for this performance at Paradiso, Silje Nergaard has brought beside her regular drummer the entire Metropole String Orchestra.
Silje Nergaard says to be mainly inspired by Al Jarreau and Joni Mitchell. Her 10th album 'Darkness Out Of Blue' was issued in 2007.
