BIOGRAPHY

Stars was formed in New York by Torquil Campbell and Chris Seligman. After Broken Social Scene members Evan Cranley and Amy Millan joined the band they moved to Montreal. In 2001 the band debuted with the album Nightsongs followed by 2003s Heart.
After a period of isolation in a cabin in the cold North Hatley, Quebec Stars released their third record Set Yourself On Fire in 2004. Despite the emotional lyrics about love and death the warm and melodic pop of Stars makes it a light-hearted record. Stars will be opening for Bloc Party.
