SUPERMAYER

Supermayer is a collaboration between electro producers Superpitcher and Michael Mayer. The two Germans produced their first remix in 1999. After producing lots of other remixes, Supermayer started to work on tracks of their own. This resulted in their debut album 'Save The World', which was released on the Kompakt label from Cologne.

Aksel Schaufler alias Superpitcher is, beside a producer, also a DJ. With his single 'Shadows' he made his first appearance on Kompakt's compilation album 'Total 2' in 2000. After some other singles, Schaufler released his debut album 'Here Comes Love' in 2004.

Michael Mayer was born in 1971 in Schwarzwald, Germany. When he was 20 years old, he moved to Cologne to work at Kompakt. In parallel he was active as a DJ/producer. Soon he started releasing his own material on the famous electro label, among which his debut album 'Touch' in 2004.

Not flinching in taking risks, Supermayer's music has a diverse and somewhat schizophrenic sound. They combine indie pop with loungy jams and pounding dance beats and use lots of different instruments like guitars, trumpets, flutes and melodica.
