TRANSGRESSIONDutch metal band Textures is based in Tilburg and was founded in 2001. The band consists of Eric Kalsbeek (vocals), Jochem Jacobs (guitar, vocals), Bart Hennephof (guitar), Stef Broks (drums), Remko Tielemans (bass guitar) and Richard Rietdijk (synths). The sextet has a progressive rhythmic style which sounds influenced by their colleagues of Meshuggah.
In 2003, Textures self-released their debut album 'Polars' with former singer Pieter Verpaalen. The critically acclaimed record earned them an Essent Award for ''Most Promising Act'' in 2004. Soon, many performances followed, supporting big metal bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, Morbid Angel, Machine Head and Cult Of Luna. They also played on big festivals like Lowlands in the Netherlands.
Pieter Verpaalen got replaced in 2006 by Eric Kalsbeek and in the same year Textures' second album 'Drawing Circles' was released on Listenable Records. Tours trough Europe followed, together with bands like Arch Enemy and All That Remains. 'Silhouettes', the third album of Textures, appeared in 2008.
