The Black Keys consist of singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Partick Carney. In 2001 Dan had booked some time in Patrick's primitive basement studio for his previous band. The rest of the band never showed and Dan and Partick wrote the first Black Keys songs.
This psychedelic blues-rock duo from Akron, Ohio has been loved by both press and colleagues ever since the release of their debut album 'The Big Come Up' in 2002. Their 2006 record 'Magic Potion' brings no change to this. On 'Magic Potion' The Black Keys sound more raw, intens and soulfull than before.
