Murray Lightburn, who’s voice might remind you of Damon Albarn, founded the Dears in 1995. This Canadian rocker/romanticist has listened closely to his British colleague indierockers, which is heard in the music of the band.
‘End Of A Hollywood Bedtime Story’ (2000) is the name of their impressive debut album. Four years and several band changes later, the epic and orchestral indierock of The Dears reaches a new peak on their latest record ‘No Cities Left’.
