Indie rock trio The Fratellis formed in 2005. Their name derives from bassist Barry, whose original surname is Fratelli (Italian for brothers). The other members, Jon and Mince, simply adopted that pseudonym.
The three 'brothers' have been described as the missing link between T.Rex and The Libertines. The Fratellis are known for their insane live shows.
In 2007 The Fratellis released their debut 'Costello Music', which included the number one hit single 'Chelsea Dagger'. 'Costello Music' was followed up by 'Here We Stand', a year later.
