In the autumn of 1999, eight man from the small town Charlottesville, VA, came together and formed The Hackensaw Boys. The band members had grown up with the traditional sounds of American country and bluegrass music.
Inspired by these roots, the Hackensaw Boys mixed different music styles such as folk rock, bluegrass and elements of punk into a sound of their own. Their latest album 'Love What You Do' was released in August 2005. This album was recorded in no less than four studios spread around the world, literally from Amsterdam to San Francisco. With this album, the Hackensaw Boys succeeded in capturing their energetic and raw live sound on a disk.
