Bossa-nova pioneers Wilson Das Nevas and Neco, a.k.a. The Ipanemas, debuted in 1964 with a record that's now considered an absolute classic. Whereupon the Brazilian duo kept the world waiting for 37 years for the follow-up 'The Return Of The Ipanemas'. Ever since The Ipanemas are back. They've released their fifth album 'Call Of The Gods' in March 2008.
The groovy Brazilian music of The Ipanemas takes you right back to the sweltering streets of Rio in the 60's. The Independent and Music Week referred to the duo as the Brazilian equivalent of the Buena Vista Social Club.
