Between 1985 and 1997 The Wedding Present had 17 UK Top 40 hits. After 'Saturnalia' in 1996 founder David Gedge put The Wedding Present on hold and started the theatrel pop project Cinerama together with his lifepartner Sally Murrell.
Now, after Gedge and Murrell's breakup in 2002, 'The Weddoes' are back as if they have never been gone. The new album 'Take Fountain' marks their comeback. On this record the band gives us more of the bittersweet guitarpop which they left us with eight years ago.
