Band leader, piano player and producer Wayne 'The Bronx's best-kept secret' Gorbea and his band Salsa Picante play funky irresistible Bronx-style salsa, This style is known for its raw sound, jazzy arrangements and the freedom it gives musicians and singer to improvise.
Wayne Gorbea started his musical career 1973, but didn't have a hit song until 1986's 'Lo Que Dice Justi'. This song is, until this very day, a classic in Colombia. In the years that followed the band scored hit after hit. Almost every salsa dancer around has danced to the music of Wayne Gorbea. Their latest album 'Prakatun! Cogele El Gusto Otra vez', which was released in 2006, is filled with 'floor fillers' and loved by dancers and DJ's.
